Lauri Lyons

Lauri Lyons is an American photographer, editor, and multimedia artist. Born in the Bronx, New York, she traveled globally with her military family before pursuing a career in media arts. She earned a BFA in Media Arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1993. For many years, Lyons served as a photo editor for several prominent national magazines and organizations, including Essence, The Source, B.E.T., and the prestigious Magnum Photos agency. In addition to her editorial work, she is a photographer whose work has been exhibited at the International Center of Photography and the Birmingham Civil Rights Museum. She is also the founder and editor-in-chief of Nomads Magazine.[1,2,3]
