Lloyd Kahn is a pioneer of the green building and green architecture movements. Originally working in the insurance business, Kahn transitioned to carpentry in the mid-1960s, beginning his journey as a natural builder. He became a prominent advocate for alternative dwellings, geodesic domes, and DIY construction. He served as the shelter editor for The Whole Earth Catalog and authored several seminal books on alternative architecture, including 'Domebook One', 'Domebook Two', and the influential 1973 work 'Shelter'.
