Louise van der Veen

Louise van der Veen (1909–1997) was a Dutch photographer known for her extensive collection of portraits featuring sculptors. Her work, which captured artists in their studios and ateliers, was frequently reproduced and featured in numerous exhibitions. She was a notable figure in the Dutch photographic community and was the wife of Gerrit Jan van der Veen and the mother-in-law of the famous Dutch photographer Ed van der Elsken. Her primary contribution to the book 'Beeldhouwersportretten' (1984) is the 83 photographs she produced throughout her life, which highlight the creative process and personas of various sculptors.[1,2]
