Malcolm Daniel

Malcolm Daniel is a prominent curator and scholar specializing in the early history of photography in France and Great Britain. He served as the Senior Curator and former Curator in Charge of Photographs at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for 23 years, during which he curated over 25 exhibitions, including 'The Photographs of Édouard Baldus' (1994) and 'Edgar Degas, Photographer' (1998). He is the author of numerous books and articles on 19th-century photography. Daniel received his B.A. from Trinity College, Hartford, in art history and studio art in 1978, an M.A. in Modern Art from Princeton University in 1987, and a Ph.D. from Princeton in 1991. He is currently the Gus and Lyndall Wortham Curator of Photography at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.[1]
