Manuel Sendón Trillo (b. 1951) is a Spanish photographer, researcher, and professor of photography. Based in Vigo, he holds a degree in Mathematics and a doctorate in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo (1997). He was a long-time professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pontevedra and co-founded the Centro de Estudios Fotográficos de Vigo (CEF) in 1985. Sendón is recognized for his work documenting Galician history, rural landscapes, and contemporary social issues. His artistic practice focuses on documentary realism, exploring themes such as the passage of time, memory, and the relationship between humans and their territory. He has published numerous monographs on historical photographers and organized significant exhibitions across Europe and the Americas.[1,2]
