Margot Pilz is an Austrian concept and media artist known for her experimental and conceptual approach to art. Her work is rooted in the avant-garde spirit of the 1960s and 1970s, characterized by radical, actionist, and feminist themes. She was a pioneer in using computers and digital thinking in her artistic practice, creating media sculptures that explore monitoring and ethnographical naming. Pilz is also recognized for transforming personal experiences into public space installations, such as 'Kaorle am Karlsplatz' in the 1980s.
