Michel Pellanders

Michel Pellanders is a Dutch photographer and author born in 1951 in Wormerveer. Since 1980, he has worked as a freelance photographer for the media, primarily focusing on long-term documentary projects. His work is characterized by a central focus on the human element and social processes, often exploring themes of labor and marginalized communities. He has collaborated with numerous Dutch cultural institutions, including the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum, and the Museum voor Volkenkunde. His portfolio includes extensive documentation of social history, indigenous cultures in the Amazon and Madagascar, and local Dutch heritage.[1,2]
