Michel Szulc Krzyzanowski is a Dutch photographic artist known for his conceptual approach to photography. Born in Oosterhout in 1949, he studied at the Koninklijke Akademie voor Kunst en Vormgeving in 's-Hertogenbosch, graduating in 1970. His work is characterized by two main branches: autonomous-conceptual sequences and documentary projects. He gained international notoriety in the 1970s for his series of photographs on deserted beaches (sequences) and has documented various social themes globally, including portraits of 'the most beautiful people in the world' and long-term documentation of individuals like Henny. His work has been exhibited in major institutions such as the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, and the Art Institute of Chicago. He is recognized for his exploration of intimacy, privacy, and visual events through a highly personal and conceptual lens.[1,2,3]
