Miloslav Stibor

photographer

Miloslav Stibor was a prominent Czech photographer and art educator. His primary creative output occurred during the 1960s and 1970s, where he became known for his revolutionary photographic nudes and simple landscape shots. He specialized in images of historical monuments, Egyptian, Greek, and Roman sculptures, as well as lyrical acts inspired by ancient mythology. Stibor was a significant figure in Czech post-war photography, particularly in the fields of portraiture and art photography. Beyond his artistic practice, he held various pedagogical roles, including serving as an associate professor of photography at Palacký University in Olomouc and directing the Popular School of Art in Olomouc for several decades.[1,2,3]
