Morten Andersen is a Norwegian photographer and publisher based in Oslo. He began his artistic practice in the early 1980s, initially creating fanzines and photographing friends in punk rock bands. During this period, he also worked in the darkroom of a daily newspaper in Oslo. Since 1999, Andersen has established a significant body of work primarily through photobooks, which serve as his main mode of exhibition. He founded Shadowlab, a publishing house exclusively dedicated to his own publications. His photography spans various subjects including rock music, nature, urban environments (such as Tokyo and Oslo), and portraiture. He has published over 20 photobooks, with works such as 'Fast City', 'Days of Night', and 'Black and Blue' being notable examples of his practice.[1,2,3,4]
