Nick Ballón is a UK-based photographer and filmmaker specializing in portraiture, documentary, and design. He possesses an Anglo-Bolivian heritage which significantly informs his subject matter, particularly his focus on themes of loss, identity, place, and belonging. His work is characterized by intentional ambiguity and obsessive observation, aiming to elevate everyday subjects into extraordinary narratives. Ballón is a co-founder of Picnic, a non-profit photography space in East Sussex that provides exhibition platforms and mentoring for emerging talent.[1,2]
