Nicolò Degiorgis

Nicolò Degiorgis is an Italian visual artist, photographer, publisher, and curator born in Bolzano, Italy. He is the founder of Rorhof, an independent publishing house based in Bolzano. Degiorgis gained significant recognition for his photobook 'Hidden Islam' (2014), which documents makeshift places of worship for Muslims in Northeast Italy. His work often explores themes of religious tolerance, social pressure, and anthropological documentation through meticulous photography. He has studied sinology at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, political science at the University of Trieste, and further education at Leiden University. In addition to his photographic work, he serves as a curator and lecturer.[4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13]
