Oliver Boberg is a German artist known for his work in photography and video. Born in Herten in 1965, he studied art history at the University of Würzburg before attending the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg to study painting from 1986 to 1993. Since the late 1980s, Boberg has been recognized for creating small-scale models of urban settings and architectural sites, which he then photographs in a way that minimizes their model quality, creating 'constructed realities.' His work explores themes of memory, perception, and the illusionistic apparatus of photography. He currently lives and works in Fürth, Germany.[1,2,3]
