Otto Snoek

photographer

Otto Snoek is a Dutch documentary photographer born in 1966 in Rotterdam. He is known for his unique approach to capturing the human experience and social themes within urban environments, particularly in his hometown of Rotterdam. His work often focuses on public spaces such as squares, markets, shopping centers, and transportation hubs where diverse groups of people converge. Snoek's style is characterized by raw, unposed color photography that captures the 'colorful uniformity' of mass culture and everyday life. He studied at the St-Joost Academy in Breda and continues to live and work in Rotterdam.[1,2,3,4]
