Owen R. Coté Jr.

Owen R. Coté Jr. is an American scholar in the field of international security and military history. He joined the MIT Security Studies Program in 1997 as Associate Director and has since served as a Co-Editor of the journal International Security and as a series editor for the International Security Readers series at MIT Press. His work focuses on naval innovation, undersea warfare, and nuclear proliferation. He has authored numerous publications on the strategic history of the U.S. Navy and the complexities of contemporary international security. He has also held research positions and fellowships at institutions including the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University and the Naval War College.[1,2]
