Paolo Pellegrin

Paolo Pellegrin is an Italian photojournalist and photographer born in Rome in 1964. He studied architecture at Sapienza University of Rome before transitioning to photography studies at the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia in 1986. A full member of Magnum Photos since 2005, Pellegrin has received numerous accolades, including ten World Press Photo awards. His work often focuses on humanitarian crises, conflict zones, and humanistic subjects, covering regions such as Bosnia, Uganda, Romania, Lebanon, and Darfur. He is known for his evocative imagery documenting the aftermath of war and social issues like HIV/AIDS.[4,5]
