Patrick van Caeckenbergh is a Belgian visual artist born in 1960 in Aalst. He is known for his enigmatic and baroque oeuvre which includes sculptures, assemblages, models, collages, and drawings. Van Caeckenbergh often works from a secluded studio in Sint-Kornelis-Horebeke (Flemish Ardennes), where he has lived since 1997. His work explores themes of the natural sciences, autobiography, and the human condition, frequently blending elements of popular culture with personal mythology.
