He also wrote extensively on film and photography, becoming an influential critic who explored themes of urban adventure and the 'fantastique.' His work often depicted bohemian life and eroticism, and he was a contemporary of figures such as Guillaume Apollinaire and Maurice Utrillo.[1,2]
