Piet Marée

Piet Marée (1903–1999) was a Dutch graphic designer, illustrator, and author. Born in Gouda as the son of a blacksmith, he received private painting and drawing lessons from his father at an early age. He is well-known for his work in book design, typography, and children's literature. His diverse portfolio includes photography, landscape gardening, and film. Marée collaborated on various works, including adaptations of stories for radio (hoorspelen) during the 1940s.[1,2]
