Robert A. Blake was an artist, educator, author, and photographer who served as a founding team member of 601Artspace. From 1985 to 2008, he directed the one-year certificate General Studies program at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City. He was also a visiting artist at the Ecole Superieure National de la Photographie in France and received an Etant Donnée grant for his solo exhibit 'Legend' in Paris. Blake was known for collecting books in English and French to inspire students and for his work as a multi-media and performance artist.[1,2]
