Roel Visser

Roel Visser is a Dutch photographer known for his sharp critique of aspects of the welfare state through social photography. He began his career at Nieuwe Revu as a classic social photographer before moving to the weekly magazine De Tijd, where he produced various social reports and wrote accompanying texts. His work later shifted in tone during the merger with HP/de Tijd, focusing on consumer society. Visser has won several national and international awards for his photography.[1,2]
