Rolf Sachsse

Rolf Sachsse is a German photographer, art historian, and professor of design history. Born in Bonn in 1949, he trained as a photographer before pursuing academic studies in art history, communication science, and German literature at the universities of Munich and Bonn. He received his PhD in 1983 on the relationship between architecture and photography in the twentieth century. Sachsse has held various professorships, including at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld and the Saar College of Fine Arts in Saarbrücken. He is widely recognized for his authoritative monographs on Lucia Moholy and his research into the history of Nazi photography and Bauhaus aesthetics.[1,2,3]
