Ron Raffaelli

Ron Raffaelli (1943–2016) was a prominent American photographer renowned for his work documenting the rock music scene of the 1960s and 1970s. He served as an official photographer for icons such as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, and The Doors. A graduate of the Art Center School of Design (Class of 1967), Raffaelli established his own studio on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. Known as a 'darkroom wizard,' he was celebrated for his sophisticated image manipulation and special effects techniques before the advent of digital editing. Beyond his rock photography, he produced significant fine art and erotic photography, including the notable work 'Rapture: 13 Erotic Fantasies' published by Grove Press in 1975.[2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9]
