Rudolf Hermann Fuchs

Rudolf Hermann (Rudi) Fuchs is a prominent Dutch art historian and museum curator. Born in Eindhoven in 1942, he studied art history at Leiden University from 1967 to 1975. He has held several high-profile leadership positions in the art world, including serving as the director of the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven (1975–1984) and later as the director of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam (1993–2003). Fuchs is internationally recognized for his role as an organizer and artistic director of major exhibitions, most notably Documenta 7 in Kassel in 1982. He is known for his audacious curatorial style and support for avant-garde art.[1,2]
