Samuel Joseph Haskins (1926–2009) was a British photographer born and raised in South Africa. He began his career in Johannesburg before moving to London in 1968 and later settling in Australia in 2001. Haskins is widely recognized for his pioneering work in in-camera image montage and his influential figure photography, particularly his nude portraiture. His most significant works include the trilogy of books: 'Five Girls' (1962), 'Cowboy Kate & Other Stories' (1964/1965), and 'November Girl' (1967). He was also a prolific commercial artist, working as an advertising and calendar art director. His style is characterized by sensual storytelling and a mastery of light and composition in both personal creative projects and commercial assignments.[1,2,3,4]
