Serge Bramly

Serge Bramly (born January 31, 1949) is a French writer, art critic, photographer, and traveler. Born in Tunis, he moved to France as a child in 1961. He studied modern literature at Nanterre and served in the military in Afghanistan before becoming a teacher of French in Pakistan and Brazil. Bramly has established himself as an expert on photography and a prolific author of novels and essays inspired by his travels in South America and his interest in art history. He is known for his works on figures such as Man Ray and Bettina Rheims, and he received the Prix Interallié in 2008 for his novel 'Le Premier Principe - Le Second Principe'.[1,2,4,5]
