Serge Ruettard, known professionally as Serge Jacques, was a French photographer active primarily in the mid-20th century. Born in Toulouse in 1927, he developed his artistic style in Paris during the post-war period. He became well-known for his work in 'photo de charme' (glamour photography) and his documentation of the jazz scene in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. His work often featured academic nudes and portraits of famous musicians like Django Reinhardt and Miles Davis. Jacques was a prolific contributor to various magazines, including Paris-Hollywood and Folies de Paris et de Hollywood, and collaborated with numerous models and editors throughout his career.[1,2,3]
