Stephen Gill
author · photographer
Stephen Gill is a British photographer born in Bristol in 1971. His passion for photography was sparked by his father's influence and an early fascination with insects and birdlife. He is known for his quiet trust in chance and the ability to capture elusive emotions through reduced information, often seeking to honor his subjects by relinquishing authorship. His work has been held in numerous public collections including the National Portrait Gallery, Tate, and the Victoria and Albert Museum. He has presented solo exhibitions internationally at major festivals such as Rencontres d'Arles and PHotoEspaña.[1]
