Dr. Stephen W. Nicholas is a prominent American pediatrician and pioneer in the care of HIV-infected children and their families. He began his work primarily in Harlem and Washington Heights in the early 1980s. He served as the Director of Pediatrics at Harlem Hospital Center from 2000 to 2006 and co-founded the Incarnation Children's Center for 'boarder babies with AIDS' in 1988. Dr. Nicholas is also a general academic pediatrician who has held various leadership roles, including Founder and President Emeritus of the Children's Global Health Fund.[1,2,3,4]
