Steye Raviez

Steye Raviez (1942–2017) was a Dutch photographer and author known for his portrait photography. He began his career in 1965 as a graphic designer for the Haagse Post before transitioning to photography. He gained significant recognition for his portraits of writer Gerard Reve, whom he served as a 'house photographer.' Raviez's work often focused on politics and current events; he captured images of politicians, war reporters from the Gulf War (1990–1991), and Amsterdam squatters' riots. He won the Zilveren Camera award four times. Following his photography career, he became a writer of literary thrillers.[1,2]
