Taishi Hirokawa is a Japanese photographer born in Kanagawa Prefecture. He is internationally renowned for his photographic works and has held numerous solo exhibitions and invited group exhibitions in major cities worldwide. His work is held in significant collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Princeton University Art Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Lenbachhaus Museum in Munich, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, and the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo. He has received numerous prestigious awards such as the Kodansha Publication Culture Award, NY ADC Award, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award, Annual Award of the Japan Photographic Association, and the Higashikawa Town Domestic Artist Award.[1,2]
