Terry Richardson

Terry Richardson is an American fashion and portrait photographer known for his provocative style. Born in New York City to actress Norma Kessler and fashion photographer Bob Richardson, he moved to Woodstock, New York, as a child before attending high school in Los Angeles. He began his career in the early 1990s, moving to the East Village of Manhattan where he started photographing nightlife scenes. His work is characterized by an 'amateur' aesthetic, often utilizing instant cameras and placing celebrities in mundane or sexually charged situations. Richardson has shot campaigns for major brands like Marc Jacobs, Diesel, and Tom Ford, and collaborated with high-profile figures such as Lady Gaga and Beyoncé.
