Tom Drahos
author · photographer
Tom Drahos is a French photographer, filmmaker, and visual artist. His work explores the nature of the photographic image, often questioning its relationship to reality and memory through iconoclastic methods. He began his career with reports on the Champs Elysées (1966-1972) and has since produced significant series including 'Metamorphoses' (1980/1983), which features surreal arrangements and mysterious tableaux, and works focusing on cultural landmarks like the Louvre. His artistic practice is characterized by a conceptual approach to photography as an object and its role in human community memory.[1,2]
