Tono Stano

Tono Stano is a Slovak-born art photographer who has been living and working in Prague, Czech Republic since the mid-1980s. He studied at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Bratislava (1975–1979) and subsequently attended the FAMU Film and TV School in Prague (1980–1986). Stano is widely recognized for his staged photography, particularly his black-and-white compositions exploring the human body and female nude. His work often blends humor, irony, and provocation with a precise use of light and form. He has exhibited extensively across Europe and North America, and his photographs have been featured in various international publications.[1,2]
