W. Jos de Gruyter was a Dutch critic and author who contributed significantly to the literary and artistic discourse in the Netherlands during the mid-20th century. He is noted for his critical commentary on Vincent van Gogh's work and for providing the text for several publications regarding Van Gogh, including 'De wereld van Van Gogh'.[1]
