Walter Haentjens (1921–2000) was the grandson of photographer Katharina Eleonore Behrend. He is noted for donating her entire photographic archive to the Stichting Nederlands Fotoarchief in Leiden. While he lived and died in Pennsylvania, USA, his contribution to Dutch photography history through the preservation of his grandmother's work is significant.[4,5]
