Werner Bokelberg (1937–2024) was a prominent German photographer and film actor. He is widely recognized for his work as a photojournalist for the magazine Stern between 1962 and 1972, where he captured iconic portraits of celebrities such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, and Romy Schneider. After training in photography, he briefly pursued acting before returning to his primary craft. He was known for his singular vision of the 'unparalleled picture' and maintained a significant presence in the art world as both a photographer and a collector.[1,2,3,5]
