Wilhelmina Eybergen

Harriët Freezer (born Wilhelmina Eybergen) was a prominent Dutch prose writer, journalist, and feminist. Active primarily in the mid-20th century, she became a significant figure in the Dutch women's movement, particularly during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. Her work often addressed women's rights and social issues, frequently using humor and personal experience to engage a wide audience. She is also widely recognized for her children's literature, most notably the 'Sjakie' series. Her literary output includes various titles such as 'Moorddadige Meimaand' and several children's adventures. She lived in Bilthoven for much of her life until her death in Utrecht in 1977.[1,2]
