Willem van de Poll

Willem van de Poll (1895–1970) was a prominent Dutch photographer and photojournalist. After training in Vienna starting in 1918, he established himself as an independent itinerant press photographer, traveling extensively across Europe, the Middle East, Indonesia, and the Antilles. He is well-known for his documentation of the Second World War as a war photographer for the Allied forces. In the Netherlands, he gained significant recognition as the official in-house photographer for the Dutch royal family (hofleverancier). His work spans photo reportage, fashion photography for magazines like Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and industrial/company photography.[1,2,3]
