William Shawcross

Sir William Hartley Hume Shawcross CVO (born 1946) is a prominent British journalist, writer, and broadcaster. He has written extensively on international policy, geopolitics, Southeast Asia, and refugees. He served as the Chairman of the Charity Commission for England and Wales from 2012 to 2018 and currently serves as the Commissioner for Public Appointments. His literary work includes biographies and political commentary.[1,2]
