Wolfgang Scheppe

Wolfgang Scheppe is a German-born philosopher, author, and curator. He studied philosophy and linguistics, earning a doctorate in communication and language theory. He is based in Venice, Italy, where he teaches and directs the Arsenale Institute for Politics of Representation. His work explores the history of representation, visual archives, and political theory. He is known for his conceptual photography and curatorial work, including projects on the history of the barricade and the aesthetics of urban environments. He co-founded the creative office SBA with Florian Böhm and Luca Pizzaroni.[1,2]
