Yvonne Brentjens is a Dutch art historian specializing in twentieth-century and contemporary design. Her research focuses primarily on the social issues involved in the design and appreciation of everyday objects. She has authored numerous monographs and articles on various aspects of Dutch and international design history, including works on Sonia Delaunay, the Bauhaus movement in the Netherlands, and the intersection of culture policy and design during the Nazi occupation. She has held positions as a freelance art historian, curator, and design critic.[1,2]
