Trinity

Trinity is a significant work by Magnum photographer Carl de Keyzer, structured as a triptych that examines the omnipresence of power and its associated violence. The title evokes both classical imagery of supreme power and modern historical references, such as the Manhattan Project's code name. The book is organized into three probing themes: 'Tableaux d'Histoire', 'Tableaux de Guerre', and 'Tableaux Politiques'. These sections explore the theatrical nature of power since time immemorial, violence as a timeless phenomenon presented through an aesthetic of the sublime, and the behind-the-scenes mechanics of political influence, including lobbying and backroom negotiations.
