Natlab

Natlab is a first edition softcover photobook published in 1989 by Philips Natlab externe relaties. The book features black and white photographs taken by Dutch photographer Ed van der Elsken, who documented the Naruurkundig Laboratorium (Physics Laboratory) of Philips in Eindhoven. The laboratory was known as a 'cradle' for various technological inventions, including the compact disc and early semiconductor technologies. The publication serves as a historical record of the research environment, capturing both the technical equipment and the researchers within their workspace.
