Sugimoto

This book provides a comprehensive overview of the photographic work of Hiroshi Sugimoto. Published in 1998 to coincide with exhibitions organized by Fundación "la Caixa" in Madrid and Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon, it features texts in both English and Spanish by various contributors including Luis Monreal, Kerry Brougher, Peter Hay Halpert, Jacinto Lageira, John Yau, and Helena Tatay Huici. The publication includes an interview with Sugimoto conducted by Helena Tatay Huici, as well as an exhibition history, bibliography, and a detailed exhibition checklist. It showcases a diverse collection of the artist's work, including dioramas, wax museums, theaters, drive-ins, day and night seascapes, and images from his "Hall of Thirty-Three Bays" series.
