Zeef het zand is an art project by Joseph L.M. Neefjes created for the Dutch Forensic Institute (Nederlands Forensisch Instituut). The work functions as an illustrated postmodern detective story that explores the life of Anky Koopman, a gangster girl from West Friesland. It features a narrative text of approximately 30,000 words accompanied by 600 black and white photographs. The project was produced in collaboration with Loodwick Press Images.
