Published by Heibonsha in 1975, 'Hareta Hi' (A Fine Day) is a significant early work by Japanese photographer Kishin Shinoyama. The book is composed of a series of photographs serialized in 'Asahi Graph' magazine between April and October 1974. It serves as a visual document that captures various facets of Japan during the mid-1970s, featuring cultural icons such as Rauschenberg (implied by context), Hayao Fukazawa, Honami Yoko, and others, alongside natural phenomena like Mount Fuji, earthquakes, typhoons, and the rainy season. The work is noted for its bold juxtaposition of events rather than chronological order, vividly capturing the atmosphere and social landscape of the Showa era. It includes a leaflet titled 'Hareta Hi o Megutte' featuring texts by Hiroshi Itsuki, Yutaka Takanashi, Koji Taki, and Tadano Tadao.
