Kishin Shinoyama (1940–2024) was a prominent Japanese photographer known for his provocative and diverse body of work spanning over five decades. Born in Tokyo, he studied at the Nihon University College of Art before beginning his freelance career in 1968. He gained international recognition for his portraits of celebrities, fashion editorials, and nude studies. His work often explored themes of beauty, performance, and cultural identity.
