Going East

Going East: Two Decades of Asian Photography is a significant photobook by artist Max Pam, first published in 1992 by Éditions Marval. The work documents Pam's extensive travels and photography across Asia during the 1960s and 1970s. It features approximately 143 black-and-white plates, many of which are full-page images finely printed in Italy. The book is bilingual, containing text in both English and French, and includes an introduction by author Tim Winton. This first edition is notable for its high production quality, featuring ochre cloth-covered boards with black lettering on the spine and upper board, accompanied by a photographically illustrated dust jacket.
