This book presents a selection of photographs taken by the renowned Dutch painter George Hendrik Breitner. The collection was based on approximately 2000 glass negatives donated in 1961 to the Netherlands Institute for Art History in The Hague. Published in 1989 to coincide with a photography exhibition at the Teylers Museum in Haarlem, the work features duotone prints of various subjects including cityscapes and nudes. It includes notes and a bibliography.
